Good afternoon!

I hope your family has had a wonderful summer!  My staff and I are looking forward to your child’s arrival on either Tues. Sept. 4th or Wed. Sept. 5th for the first day of school. The welcome letter with your child’s classroom assignment and teacher’s names was sent in the mail a couple weeks ago.  If you did not receive that letter please call the preschool office at 972-727-4300 and let me know or reply to this email. It is such a blessing to be able to share the 2012/2013 school year with you and your child. I want to thank you, in advance, for your support throughout this coming school year.

Next Wednesday, August 29th at 7:00 p.m., we will have a Parent Information Night in the Educational Building in Room 128 & 129. This meeting is primarily for the parents who are new to our program though all are welcome. We will provide lots of information about the upcoming year as well as introduce you to the Suncreek Kids staff. There will not be childcare provided that evening. “Meet the Teacher” is next Thursday, August 30th from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. What a great time to introduce your child to his/her new teacher, new classroom and new friends before the big day the following week! We require that all necessary paperwork be turned in either at the Parent Information Night or at Meet the Teacher. This paperwork includes: Registration form, Medical form (enclosed with this letter) including updated shot records, Parent Acknowledgement of Handbook, and Registration and Supply fees. Tuition is not due until the first week of school.

School will begin on Tuesday, September 4th (for our Tuesday/Thursday students) and Wednesday, September 5th (for our Monday/Wednesday students) at 9:00 a.m. We invite you to a special “Pastries for Parents” breakfast in the Round Room following drop off on the first day of school. This is a time to meet and visit with other parents and the Suncreek Kids Board.

Your child will need to bring the following items to school each day:

l        Bag or backpack (large enough to fit all of the items listed below)

l        Change of clothes

l        Diapers and/or Pull-Ups as needed

l        Nutritious lunch

l        Take Home folder that you will receive at the Parent Information Night or Meet the Teacher event

All of the above items need to be labeled. Please do not allow your child to bring toys or other items from home that might cause a distraction in the classroom. In addition, please send a change of clothes regardless of your child’s age.

Enjoy these last few days of summer vacation and I look forward to seeing all of you very soon!

~Blessings,
