Happy Wednesday!
Such a busy week at Suncreek Kids!! I am so excited to see all of the learning and “special” projects going on in the classrooms. We are also very busy preparing this week for the Christmas program that will take place this Monday evening, Dec. 10th at 6:30pm in the Suncreek UMC sanctuary. Please have your child dressed in Sunday best/Christmas holiday attire and in their classrooms by 6:15. As a reminder all the children that attend Suncreek Kids do perform in the program. The sanctuary fills up very quickly as this program is always very well attended. After the program ends I invite everyone to come back to the round room in the educational building for a piece of cake. There is also still time to preorder the DVD of the program……cost is $5 each. I hope to have the DVDS to send home by Thursday of next week.
- We will have our monthly fire drill on Wednesday, Dec. 12th at 10:15 am.
- Cooking for December is coming soon…….On December 17/18 we will be using our skills to make a fruit snowman. Our placemat we use will display our pattern and we will be following it’s directions to put our yummy friend together. To date, we have chopped, sliced and mixed using all of our kid friendly tools. Please remind your child to try their new skills at home – I can do a lot to help you! (via Ms Natalie & Ms Cammie)
- Tomorrow vendor booths in the main hallway – The Key Fob & Give it 2 God. Stop by and pick up some great stocking stuffers or gifts for Christmas. Remember 10% of total sales will come back to the preschool. Thanks for your continued support!
This month our bible lesson is on the birth of Jesus. “The Lord is King let the earth rejoice!” This month is my favorite and I love to see the children so excited about the story and the importance of it. We have also been talking about sharing gifts with others as this is the season for giving. We introduced Faith the Cow in chapel and talked with the children about Heifer International and what we as a preschool can do to help other children and families that are not so fortunate. Below is the note that came home with your child about this wonderful mission. We will continue to collect money until we leave for Christmas break. We hope to “fill the bucket” with all the donations the children bring into share. Last year we were able to purchase many items to help families very far away. Thank you for supporting this wonderful mission!
Suncreek Kids will be supporting Heifer International again this December by filling our special Faith the Cow bucket with coins. The children may bring in coins starting this week and will have a chance to put the coins in “Faith” during weekly chapel time. If you are not familiar with Heifer International, it is an organization that transforms lives by empowering families to break the cycle of poverty through gifts of livestock, seeds and training. This is a wonderful way for our children to learn the joy of giving during this holiday season. Thank you for your support!
