The weather is perfect today!! I have just a few reminders and announcements for the week:
No school Monday – Suncreek Kids will be closed for MLK Day
Pick up is at 2pm – As a reminder 2:10-2:15 is running late. Thank you for being on time!
Family chapel – Week of January 25th – 28th
2016-2017 Registration – January 25th – 28th in the Round Room starting at 9am and again in the afternoon at 1:30pm. Please stop by the office if you need a registration packet or have any questions.
Scholastic Book order – Due Thurs. Jan. 28th (going out this week)
Reminder:
It’s that time of the year again that there are a lot of illnesses going around so I wanted to include the illness policy (from the Parent Handbook) we follow as a gentle reminder to keep our community as healthy as possible. I appreciate your help in advance!
Any child who has any of the following conditions listed below should not attend school that day & is free of these symptoms for a full 24 hours before returning to school.
- A fever within the last 24 hours (child must be fever free for 24 hours without medication)
- Heavy nasal discharge that is green or bloody. Please have a doctor’s note stating that your child is not contagious if the nasal discharge is any other color than clear.
- Other signs of illness such as vomiting, diarrhea, bad cough, etc. (symptom free for 24 hours without medication)
- An open sore that cannot be covered
- Eye infections/pink eye
- Skin rashes or skin conditions such as Fifth’s Disease, head lice, boils, ringworm, Impetigo, Thrush, Hand-Foot-Mouth disease
If your child becomes ill during school hours, he/she will be cared for in an isolated area (preschool office) and you will be contacted. Parents will be required to take the child home. PLEASE inform the office or teachers if you are not going to be able to be reached by phone that day. It is VERY IMPORTANT that you keep your cell phone turned on when your child is in our care and that your contact numbers are current.

Suncreek UMC Children’s Choir Kick-off for Spring 2016
Come join us on Sundays, 4:30-5:15in Room 113, as we praise God, writing scripture on our hearts through music and learn to lead in worship as well as have fun with singing games.
We begin THIS SUNDAY—January 10th at 4:30-5:15.
Children in grades Kindergarten through 5th grade are invited.
No musical experience necessary!
Our new director is Cindy Peterson, a church member and the music teacher at Boon Elementary.
