Exciting news from Suncreek UMC!!!
The Stryker Family Park Facility Addition was unveiled during all three services last week to the Suncreek UMC family. (Please see the pictures of this project at the bottom of this email). This amazing addition will add a 60’ X 90’ Covered Multipurpose Sport Court, a 24’ X 48’ Covered Picnic Gathering area with outdoor cooking facilities, a totally redone Sand Volleyball court and a new playground area with new equipment for 2-5 year olds and 6-11 year olds. Support of this facility has been outstanding but pledges and contributions with checks made out to Suncreek UMC with Stryker Family Park in the note section will be accepted for the next 3 weeks. See the display in the narthex & by the preschool Front Desk. Equipment will be ordered in December 2014 with construction starting in March 2015 and completion by Memorial Day 2015. This AMAZING facility will benefit our preschool children all the way up to youth and families of Suncreek. If you have any questions please ask the preschool office staff or Erick Dahl at [email protected].
Christmas Service Project:
Suncreek Kids will be supporting Trinity River Mission this December by filling our special Christmas “Love” Bucket with coins. Trinity River Mission is a volunteer-based community learning center that promotes literacy, encourages academic success and develops effective life skills among disadvantaged youth in West Dallas, in the belief that education connects us to life’s possibilities. The families at Trinity River Mission have performed numerous service hours in order to participate in this ministry. We will adopt a well-deserving family in West Dallas and provide food, clothing, and toys for Christmas. The children may bring in coins starting the week after Thanksgiving and will have a chance to put the coins in our Christmas “Love” Bucket during weekly chapel time through December 11th. This is a wonderful way for our children to learn the joy of giving during this holiday season. Thank you for your support!
“For it is in giving that we receive.”
May God bless you richly this holiday season ~
