Happy Thursday!
It was a busy and fun week at Suncreek Kids! On Monday we had our monthly fire drill and the children all did a great job!! Yesterday & today the children were treated by a visit from Dr Jonathon Harrison, DC – New Directions Chiropractic (Father to Delaney in the Red Room). October is community helper month at the preschool and we invited Jonathon to share with the children his job and how he helps people. The children all had fun hearing & seeing all the fun things he brought with him. Thank you Jonathon!! Next week Pastor Keith will be in chapel and share with the children his job and how he helps people. Next week is also family chapel. I hope you can join us!!
A special THANK YOU to all of our Pre K families (Red, Sky Blue and Purple classes) for providing the delicious lunch yesterday for the staff. It was so yummy and we appreciated it so much!! Our families at Suncreek Kids are the best!
I have several reminders for you:
- Family Chapel is next week
- Fall Service Project: Each year the preschool participates in a few service projects that benefits families & children in the Allen area. Our first one is the Thankful Hearts Fill The Carts food drive. Starting next week we will be collecting food for Thanksgiving and donating to area families in need during the holiday. Please look for a grocery bag with a list of specific items that we are specifically asking for. The grocery bag and info will be going home with your child on Monday & Tuesday. We will be collecting food from Oct. 26th – Nov. 5th. Thanks so much for your support!
- Halloween parties – Next Wednesday & Thursday – please check with your child’s teacher for the times as they do vary by class.
- School picture proofs & order forms were sent home yesterday and will go home with all by today. The order forms are due back by next Thursday, Oct. 29th. Diana will be here next Wednesday & Thursday at drop off and at pick up to collect orders & answer any questions. You may also leave your orders in the preschool office or hand into your teacher. If you have any questions about the pictures please contact Diana directly.
- Bike-a-thon donations are due by Monday, Nov. 2nd *** Thank you so much to those of you that have already generously donated!! ***
- Suncreek UMC Fall Festival – Next Wednesday, Oct. 28th 5:30-7:30 Palmer Hall Parking lot Contact or RSVP with Robyn at tschantz@suncreekumc.org
- Mark on your November calendar the Suncreek Kids Annual Holiday Bazaar! You’re invited to sparkle, shine & shop! The bazaar will be held in the Round Room in the Educational Building on Wednesday, Nov. 11th & Thursday, Nov. 12th from 9am -2:00pm. We will have vendors selling: wreaths, home decor, women & children clothing, handmade body products, men’s clothing, jewelry & accessories, hair bows, festive homeware, frames, skincare, children’s books, personalized gifts, Jamberry Nails, baked goods & gift baskets, vintage home decor items, homemade toffee and vintage window signs. This will be a wonderful holiday shopping opportunity! This event is open to the public and proceeds from the sales at the bazaar benefits the preschool. Please plan to stop in!!
