Good morning,

I hope you are having a wonderful Wednesday!!  Many of the children will be visiting the pumpkin patch at Suncreek today.  Some of our friends visited yesterday and were treated to a story read to them by Mr. Phillip (the choir director of at Suncreek UMC). In addition to the pictures below I know your child’s teacher will be sharing pictures of the visit as well. You will notice a pumpkin will be coming home with your child as a special treat from their visit to the patch.  A big thank you to the Mason Family (Morgan in Silver Room) for providing that special treat to each of the children of Suncreek Kids!  We appreciate your kindness & generosity!!  I invite all of our families to visit the pumpkin patch between now and Oct. 31st. The selection of pumpkins is WONDERFUL!!  All sales benefit the Suncreek UMC Youth MissionsA reminder that this Saturday, October 26th, is the Suncreek UMC Fall Festival and Chili Cook – Off. It will be from 5-7pm.  Please look for the yellow flyer that is coming home today and tomorrow in your child’s folder with all the details and information.  Children are encouraged to wear a costume and enjoy “Trunk or Treat”.  It is a fun event for the whole family! Hope you can make it.

Here’s a peek into Music class this month with Ms. Mary Lee & Ms. Cammie:

Happy fall, ya’all!  We are having a hoot of a time in music this month.  October is full of scarecrows and spider songs, bat finger plays, musical pumpkins, and even a ghost game.  One of their absolute favorites is “Falling Leaves”. We sing the song to the tune of “Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star” and pretend to sneeze right before we throw our leaves in the air.  It’s simply adorable!  Another favorite is a movement song entitled “Bubble Wrap Stomp” where we walk in circles and take turns stomping on real bubble wrap.  Who doesn’t love bubble wrap? We love our time in music with your little pumpkins!”

Have a wonderful rest of the week!

~Blessings,
