Good afternoon!

I hope you are having a great week! It has been a short but SUPER week at the preschool. All of the children are doing a great job and have adjusted so nicely to the routines.  It has been such a joy to see you and your child’s smiling faces each day!!  We did start chapel this week and all the children did wonderful with our monthly bible verse “In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth.” And learning the bible story of Creation.  We will be working with both of these the entire month. The last week of the month will be our family chapel time when we invite you to attend and see and hear all we’ve learned throughout the month. I will remind you more as that date gets closer.  As always attending is completely optional. J

Lastly, I’m recommending that ALL birthday treats being sent into the classrooms to celebrate children’s birthdays be cookies or doughnuts. No cupcakes please!!  Cupcakes are very messy and the sugar content in that icing is crazy!!!  Thank you in advance with your help with this matter!!

I wanted to leave you with this nugget!  Each year my wonderful staff completes several hours of continuing education in the area of early childhood education that strengthens their skills for the upcoming year in addition to CPR/First Aid and Child Abuse intervention training.  One of the things we did was an independent book study based on the book “Their Name is Today”.  It was such a wonderful read and so relevant to all people that are raising children in today’s world.  I wanted to share this link with you because I recommend the book to everyone!  You can get a free copy of the book at this link. http://www.communityplaythings.com/resources/literature/Their-Name-is-Today

I hope you enjoy it and find it relevant to you as much as my staff and I did.

Have a wonderful weekend!!

~Blessings,
